Shakespeare Comp. + Me

As you may already know, we placed third in all team events! cause we rock! i personally am really happy with what has happened this weekend. yeah, there was some "drama" amongst us dramatic people that i wish would have been avoided, but the rest was wonderful. The first day, i felt so good about our ensemble performance, even the things that went wrong turned out to not be a big deal. At the tech Olympics everyone (but me) did such an awesome job! i was doing costuming and i had to fix a hem. well, a hem to me has always been where the fabric ends. so, when Becky (in the costume) came over to me and told me something to the effect of, the hem is too long, i automatically grabbed pins, and started pinning the fabric so that the bottom of it would touch the floor. upths, that wasn't what they wanted. They wanted me to fix the actual hem. so, i got a minute added to my time, which ended up being two thirty two. not good at all. so i felt bad about that, but, what do ya do? anyway, after all was said and done, i went over to Ben and Ashley's (my brother and sister-in-law) and went out to dinner and got ice cream. Then we went back to their place and watched a movie. i had a lot of fun. i heart them. The next morning Ben fixed me a more hearty breakfast than i have most mornings, which was really good. then, Becky and i headed down to meet the school. The next day was day of scenes. Stoker and i went to a total of 3 rounds, and i felt really good about all of them. our score and rating in the first round i expected. The second, i really didn't. That round, we thought we had our rating made. we figured we were on top, no problem, turns out, we were placed in the middle of the group. anyway, the third round, we did really good, and we were ranked first. i wasn't really expecting that ranking. All of our judges had something to say about our accents, but, you know, it was kind of a "double-edged sword" we had the accents to give us levels, and me sweetness. but, it cut down articulation and added one more thing to think about. so, yeah. Street said that the fact that we got superiors at all is a major compliment. Overall, yeah, we personally didn't win anything, but i still feel very good about how that all turned out. The rest of the evening passed, and when we got to the awards ceremony, i still felt good about everything. i am proud of all that has happened. The ceremony was awesome. afterwards, we were sitting waiting for everyone else to clear out, and we could hear the rain. So, we went outside. i took of my shoes, and we went puddle-jumping. i enjoyed that very thoroughly. i was sooooo cold though. especially during the drive home. but, even today, i feel good about this past weekend. i was kind of sad that i couldn't watch conference yesterday, but at least i will get the opportunity to read the talks when they come out with the next ensign. today's conference was so good. i really love those men, and women. they are all so wonderful. i can really feel of God's love through them. they had some awesome things to say too. Anyway, I hope you too had a great weekend. hearts!
